She has been on life-support since the accident in late June. She is stable, but she is not improving. She is now in a Trauma Care unit. Until she can breathe on her own, she will remain in the Trauma Care unit. I appreciate the prayers offered on behalf of my Mother. She had to undergo a very risky, five hour surgical procedure where a metal plate inserted into her chest so the 11 broken ribs could attach to something as they healed. We thank everyone who has inquired and who have offered prayers on her behalf. At this point, we must leave it in the hands of a higher power as to whether she recovers or joins my Father on the other side of this life. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. While she does not believe in ghosts, she has always supported the work we do. She is the first to ask about our investigations, read our books, and listen to us on the Jeff Rense program. I once asked her why she doesn't believe in ghosts and she responded by saying that if she believed in ghosts, she would be scared, but since she doesn't believe in them, she can laugh and have fun not worrying if the ghosts are real. She lives alone; my Dad passed away fifteen years ago, and she doesn't want to worry when she hears footsteps or muffled voices in her apartment. I have some great news. I have devoted about twenty hours this past week in cleaning up our ghost galleries of questionable photos, airborne dust particles, photos of insects, and any other environmental anomaly that we have posted over the past nine years. In the early years of Ghostweb.com, we were unaware about dust and pollen orbs, airborne insects, or any of the natural occurring orbs. Digital cameras were a thing of the future and our experience with them and the appearance of orb shaped anomalies were very basic. During the past nine years, we have made major discoveries that included photos of airborne insects that many label as fairies or angels, but just insects flying at night that were highlighted by the flash resulting in white wings on a white body. We were the first to dispel the myth that clusters of orbs were not portal openings, but airborne dust particles in front of the camera lens. We also dispelled the myth that the sparkles observed when the flash goes off were ghost orbs, but instead they were dust particles suspended in the air. Today, we routinely dispel the myth that all orbs are ghosts, but instead the vast majority is just dust particles. We encourage investigators to use a million candle power spot light to verify that no airborne anomalies are in the beam of light prior to using their digital camera. We encourage all ghost researchers to police their own photos, discard any that are of environmental orbs and airborne insects. It has taken time, but I am happy to state that I have examined every single image in all of the Ghost Galleries and removed all of the photos that do not meet our standards and present level of knowledge; I have fixed broken links and have cleaned up the directories for each of the galleries. Now our Password Membership members will find that only valid ghost photos that we have accumulated over the past nine years are present for viewing. We offer a free one year membership to those who submit photos that we accept for posting on Ghostweb.com We received some remarkable photos taken at the Myrtles Plantation. We have posted these photos, submitted by John Billingsley, on our web site. John captured several photos of ectoplasm and several photos of supercharged orbs in motion. John wanted to share his amazing photos with our members, as well as some of his EVP captured at the Myrtles that we will be playing on the Jeff Rense program on August 6, from seven 7 to 9 pm, west coast time. I recently viewed some photos supposedly taken at Pine Bush, New York, which is supposed to be a hot bed for UFO activities? The photos were of plasma globes and represented evidence of UFO activities. Unfortunately, the plasma globes were ordinary airborne dust particles floating in front of the camera lens. We recognized many of the globe photos in Roswell, New Mexico UFO museum as nothing more than close ups of dust orbs taken with a 640x480 digital camera. It seems strange to me that common sense and a little background in photography would be ignored when a researcher finds that they have captured a strange anomaly. Instead of determining if it was natural, they immediately assume it to be a valid UFO image. Many ghost researchers suffer from the same syndrome, a lack of common sense. I am amazed at the gullible nature of some people. Consider the airborne moth, when captured at night using a flash, the moth will transform into an angel or into a fairy, depending on the belief of the individual. Instead of associating the flying moth that is observed in the flash, the focus is directed toward the photo of something white with wings. A lot of psychics and mediums talk about angels, but none has supplied any visual evidence that they exist. While we have tons of photos and recordings of voices from beyond the grave that establish validity to the idea that life exists beyond the grave, there is no such evidence that supports the existence of angels. We must discard the Biblical references, since we all know that the multiple translations from one language to another has distorted and prevented any absolute interpretation of said works. We have recorded over a thousand recordings of ghost voices, but we have not heard of any angel voices that have been recorded. I suppose that someone will claim the “angel in the cloud” or “Jesus in the cloud” photo is evidence of angels, but this is a myth. In 1974 or thereabouts, Evangelical Christians attempting to receive donations from their television congregation created the picture as proof of their teachings. The faithful contributed to this evangelical movement and received the photo as their reward. The photo has no reference to top or bottom so the anomaly may have been taken sideways. No negative has ever turned up to support the claim that the photo was actually taken by someone. The stories are always similar, a deceased father or grandfather took the picture, but the family can no longer find his negative. One account of this photo was that it was taken from an airplane, again no negative. From my viewpoint, this is nothing more than a hoax, a fraud perpetuated by charlatans seeking to hustle donations from little old ladies, all in the name of religion. The fraud has proven itself by the fact that the picture has been sent to us, from innocent people from all around the country, for evaluation. We encourage everyone to use common sense when reviewing his or her photos. If in doubt, discard the photo. Become familiar with the environmental orbs by taking a hundred photos of nothing but dust or pollen or of moisture droplets. Learn to identify airborne insects by their shapes. Examine pictures for po ssible insects and how the many legs of mosquitoes appear in photos. We captured a mosquito flying in front of the camera lens that looked like a B-52; it was so big and close to the lens. A good researcher is one who is responsible and who uses common sense. Happy trails. Dr. Sharon’s Notes: Life has been a bit more hectic for Dave, Boo and I for the past several weeks. Hearing of the accident Dave’s sweet little Mother was in was quite a shock to both of us. Accidents and emergencies are never planned and for us it takes normal plans and turns everything into what needs to be done and how, in a timely manner. Flying to Oregon was not an option so we had 2,600 miles of long, hard road ahead of us. What we did not anticipate was having two tires blow out along the way. With temperatures nearing 100 degrees and many miles to go, we feel very fortunate that nothing worse has happened and we have been able to continue the journey. We have seen the price of gas go from $1.84 in New Mexico to $2.29 in Reno, Nevada and Standish, California. The differences are amazing yet the reasons remain elusive. We know of many people who have canceled travel plans due to the high cost of gas this year. There is nothing like the freedom to travel across this great land, whether snow is falling or the sun is blazing hot as there is beauty at every turn. We are thankful for the ability to travel and very thankful for the progress Dave’s Mother has made. She is a remarkable woman who has a lot of strength for someone eighty years old. I have never known anyone who has such a zest for everything in life as she does and it shows in her struggle to survive this tragedy. We thank you all for your prayers and positive energy to help her heal. Dave and I spent many months in New Mexico this year and shared our experiences along the way. One thing we found while staying in Deming was the fun of rock collecting and walking in the desert. We spent three months picking up the beautiful orange colored stones that we later learned were Carnelian. Once the raw stones were collected, we put them into rock tumblers and tumbled them for five weeks to wear down the rough edges and polish them to bring out the beauty. They shine like new money! The beauty in each stone is unique and no two stones are alike. The patterns and swirls within each one can resemble a portal opening, vortices or with the right natural color combinations they look like candy corn. Carnelian is an interesting stone with some special properties. It has been admired throughout history, not only for its rare beauty but also for the alleged power within the stone. In ancient Egypt, Carnelian was worn on the hand to still feelings of anger, jealousy, envy, and hatred. Today, it is still used to promote peace and harmony and to dispel depression. It is said that Carnelian is an excellent stone to carry or wear for public speaking, which is one of the most common fears in the world today. I can understand that and next time we are speaking somewhere, I plan to load my pockets with Carnelian. Carnelian is a stone that is known for its positive energy. Carnelian is thought to bring good fortune and luck to the wearer. I know from seeing it that it is one of those things in life that catches your eye and just makes you feel good to admire the beauty. In Renaissance magic, Carnelian was engraved with a sword, or a warrior and used as an amulet to be worn or placed in a home. It protected those within the home from storms and lightning. When carried or worn, it was said to protect against enchantments. Carnelian was also worn as a general health inducer. Carnelian is said to stop nightmares when it is worn to bed. There are a lot of legends and legendary powers associated with the stone but Dave and I found it to be mystical and enchanting because of the beauty of each stone. Dave has posted pictures on the Ghostweb for all to see some of the Carnelian we found this year. We also have added a section to the website called Magic Moments where you can find jewelry made with Carnelian, wire wrapped in Sterling Silver. The web address is http://photos1.ghostweb.com/carn2.html. You might want to take a look and be sure not to miss the ghost jewelry we have displayed also. The sterling silver ghost charms are mounted as necklaces with Carnelian and turquoise stones or Carnelian and hematite (also called Volcano spit). The beautiful blue turquoise brings out the Southwest while the hematite suggest the Halloween influence. They are perfect for ghost hunters who enjoy ghost jewelry (which is still difficult to find except around Halloween) or as nice gifts for someone special. Each piece is handmade with the quality and beauty of Carnelian and silver. We will be offering new items in the future so be sure to keep checking the site. Since this is a new section, we have recently added to the website, many have written to say they did not know it was there when suddenly finding it. Take a look at your leisure and if you are interested in buying, it is easy with instructions on the site. We have had so many people ask us if we had ghost items for sale, jewelry being something folks really wanted. We have not carried much in the line of jewelry over the years but with the Carnelian we found, we felt the time had come to offer something special. The people who have found it and bought it, love the jewelry so take a look and see what you think. We are making every effort to maintain the Ghostweb and keep business running as usual. We always have email and our cell phone available, when within range of a cell tower, and continue to evaluate photos and EVP as we always have. We hope that you are all enjoying the summer months and getting out there to capture that evidence of life after life. Digital Ghost Photography Handbook: Are you confused about orbs?
