She is still on the ventilator, but was able to go off it a few days ago for about half an hour. Long ways to go, but she is finally showing some signs of improving. We thank all those who took time from their busy schedule to offer up prayers on her behalf. Her biggest compliant is that nurses come in every few hours during the night to check on her and so she is awaken every few hours, so she has no chance to get any sleep at night. Do not reply to us by clicking on “Reply” as it will only delete you from our mailing list. The Newsletter is sent out through YahooGroup and when you click on reply it forwards your email to the “unsubscribe” automated program. All responses to us should be sent to MagicDimensions@aol.com only. We will mail out all of our Carnelian jewelry orders on Monday. Due to our travel schedule, we have not been able to be in areas where we could find Post Offices. Sharon is busy today completing the orders which we will send out tomorrow from Portland, Oregon. Since we will be here for a few weeks, we will be back on our regular 24 hour turn around for shipping out orders. We will be adding new Carnelian pieces to the Magical Moments by Shari web page this week. Check them out. We have had our mail from our Pensacola and Deming addresses forwarded to us so any home study tests will be processed and their respective diplomas mailed out this week. Our engineer has completed the next generation upgrade for our Ultrasonic Detection prototype. We will begin experimenting with it soon. The rush to get up to Oregon to visit with my Mother has prevented us from field testing the unit. Our aim is to develop equipment that will allow two-way real time communication with the dead. We will keep our readers posted on the outcome of our field testing of the unit. We got in a great photo of ectoplasmic vapors as orbs leaving contrails buzzed around in front of the Lizzy Borden House in Fall River, MA. Take some time and view the photo found in our Members Only section and in our Ghost Pics section on Ghostweb.com. We played some wonderful EVP ghost voices this past Friday night on the Jeff Rense program, heard coast to coast and globally on the Internet. We played some EVP recordings sent to us from John Billingsley of jtb@sport.rr.com captured at the Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, LA. The amazing EVP voice said, “Everything will pass.” Consider the advice offered by this spirit, even with the tribulation the spirit faced in life, his or her attitude was expressed, as with enough time, everything would pass. The Myrtles Plantation photos showing supercharged orbs in motion are interesting since our research reveals that no less than ten people were murdered at the plantation. I count at least a dozen separate orbs in motion, perhaps suggesting the anchored spirits are still seeking retribution or justice. Understanding the history can aid us in our research. According to John Billingsley, the plantation was built on top of the Tunica Indian burial ground and that General Bradford had all of the bodies moved to a corner of the property and burnt them. This would account for many unhappy spirits, their graves desecrated. We are happy that so many IGHS members apply good scientific methods to their investigations, relying upon tools that document the existence of these ghostly apparitions from beyond the grave. We do not get to speak about the professionalism that we find in so many ghost researchers, but professionalism is evident by their actions and results. The topics of our Newsletters are stimulated by the emails we receive during the week, most are from newbies visiting our site. We are happy to report that it is not the IGHS members who have to be taught about dust orbs, but it is the new beginner who has purchased a digital camera and takes photos in his backyard, only to discover an abundance of airborne spheres in his photos. We have IGHS members who have been with our organization since we posted our first six ghost photos on the Internet, some nine years ago. We also played a most remarkable EVP voice on Jeff's program, recorded at the site of the first day battle in Gettysburg by Jim Wyrick of mw626@comcast.net. Jim recorded a voice saying, “Shot down and killed.” This spirit died July 1, 1863 still anchored to that moment in time when he was shot down and killed. He is acknowledging his moment of death, but he has not moved beyond this event that changed his life. There is so much about the realm of the dead that we do not understand. In most cases, no white light, no tunnel, no angelic messengers show up at the time of death. We know that our negative emotions act as anchors to hold us in this earth plane. One visitor to our web site who sent us some dust orb photos wrote back and suggested that dust orbs have no relationship to the people in the photos. I responded back and said that was correct. The airborne dust particles passed in front of the camera lens and the resulting image showed the orbs to be over the people. The photo is two-dimensional so distance and size are not possible to determine unless the orbs are behind a known object. Photography can be confusing at times for new folks. We recommend the million candle power spot light as a test tool to determine if airborne anomalies are present before taking digital photos. If any anomalies show up in the beam of light, those same anomalies will show up as dust orbs in the photos. We have many researchers who are sincere and who attempt to capture paranormal images with their cameras. We do not wish to discourage them by always talking about dust orbs, but 95% of all photos sent to us contain dust orbs. We can only respond by writing about what we see to be the most common mistakes made by photographers. One reason we turned to recording ghost voices as opposed to photographing ghosts is that with a digital or tape recorder, we can conduct all of our investigations during the day and weather conditions do not effect the investigations as rain drops or dust orbs have no effect on the recording process. When we play back the recordings and find we have voices recorded, we get the added benefit of listening to the emotions being express. EVP voices will almost always have emotions associated with them. The voices will be human sounding. Early Panasonic digital recorders picked up digital static and sounded like demonic wails, but these demonic voices were caused by faulty circuit problems. When the next generation of digital recorders came out, all of the demonic voices vanished. Only those people still using the faulty first generation recorders were still getting demonic cries. We still hear of radio programs where ghost hunters play these demonic screams, but we have to smile knowing that their demonic screams were only digital static recorded on first generation digital recorders. Why do we know, we had a first generation digital recorder, and yes, we got these demonic screams, but having an electronic background, I recognized the digital static as a natural occurring sound, not some supernatural cry from beyond the grave. We encourage everyone using the early Panasonic digital recorders to upgrade to better digital recorders and they will suddenly find that all of their demonic screams disappear, vanish as if they never existed, which they didn't. A good test to determine if your own digital recorder is acceptable for recording by recording you own voice for a minute, play it back, and listen to the recording. If your voice is crystal clear, with no static or discharge sounds, the recorder is okay. However, if you hear static, discharges, and have a hard time making out your entire voice, get rid of that recorder and upgrade to the newer digital recorders that are free of this technological flaw. I know of at least one person in the Gettysburg area selling a CD with supposedly ghost voices, but in fact, the demonic voices are originating from an early version Panasonic recorder that suffered from digital static. The demonic screams of anger are nothing more than digital static discharges. The early Panasonic recorders captured demonic screams, just as any digital camera will captured airborne dust particles as dust orbs. Once we understand the limitation of technology, we can work around it, not succumb to it. Technology can be a valuable tool in aiding our research and study of the paranormal, but technology can also become a stumbling block, the difference is using common sense and realizing that there is nothing absolute in science, it is all subject to new discoveries. As we advance in the development in technology, so too must we remove those tools that have circuitry faults that provide false information back to the researcher. We do not want to discourage anyone from using a digital camera, but simply to make aware of the many common anomalies mistaken for ghost orbs. Sharon and I will routinely delete all of our investigation photos as we too capture airborne dust particles. Yes, we also get dust orbs during investigations, but we delete them. If we have to delete the dust orbs we capture, think how many more other non-IGHS ghost hunters are posting simply because they never were taught the differences between dust and ghost orbs. When I was cleaning up our ghost galleries, I removed several hundred photos taken at Gettysburg because they were all airborne dust particles. As we have advanced in understanding, we realized that so many of the early photos were of dust orbs. We made the same error as new beginners’ today experience. We have many articles posted in our Educational Articles that pertain to dust orbs, including photos showing dust particles so the reader can compare their own photos. Happy trails. Sharon’s Notes: We have had quite a busy week, driving the last miles of the long journey to Oregon. Dave and I are both encouraged at the progress in his Mother's condition but we also realize she has many months of treatment and healing ahead of her. When an accident of this magnitude strikes someone we love, it takes us to the point of realizing how precious life is and how quickly it can be taken away. It is easy to be so caught up in our everyday lives that we forget how fragile life is and how easily it can be taken from us or from someone we love. Last week I was able to share with you all, the new part of the website where we now are offering Carnelian jewelry. The response has been wonderful. As you go into this part of the site, you may notice that beside some of the photos it says, sold. Since each necklace and item is handmade and unique, the sold items will be continually replaced with more pieces of Carnelian jewelry. Keep checking back as new items will be offered in place of those that are sold. The Carnelian stones are very different in size, shape and color and that is the reason for the individual photos, so you can view the piece and decide if that is the stone most attractive to you. The settings will be similar but the stones are each different. As Dave, Boo, and I walked the sandy desert in search of the beautiful orange stones I could not help but think how Mother Nature demonstrates her perfection. Try as we will there are some things in nature that we cannot replicate and the beauty in gemstones is often one of them. Carnelian has been considered magical, mystical, and protective throughout the ages. I am certain it is because of the vibrant colors that range from a light peach to an almost dark red that drew the attention of the Indians in the area who found Carnelian to be very special. In the area we were searching, we also came across a site where Indian tribes lived peacefully. We discovered worn holes in the rocks where grain was ground and where water was trapped for future needs, from passing rain storms. The petroglyphs remained untouched by relic hunters who tend to go in and try to remove the markings as souvenirs for their walls. We found the area to hold a special value and history. Though rock hounds have covered that area for many years, picking up stones and finding arrow heads, we stumbled onto ground that has continued to push the beautiful Carnelian from subsurface levels, upward to the surface. We enjoyed walking in the desert wind in the peacefulness only found outside of populated places. The Carnelian we found varied greatly from one piece to the next. Some we found were quite large, almost too big for tumbling. We have decided the stones of that size would work well in Cleopatra settings, which are similar to a wire cage that holds the stones securely yet displays the beauty in every side of the stone. These are unique in color and size. I have consulted many jewelry artists and asked them if they could make jewelry that our members could purchase that would fit within any budget. I was looking for something unique and special that would mean something to people who admire jewelry items. No one that I spoke with had any idea what they could make that would appeal to ghost hunters. They did suggest that I make the jewelry, though until now, I had no idea what I could put together that would be of any interest. In the past, I have been teased for wearing ghost jewelry, yet there are many members who are searching for ghost jewelry and struggle to find anything outside of a dollar store around Halloween. I have put together some pieces that have Carnelian and Hematite or Carnelian and Turquoise that have a cute sterling silver ghost pendant. Not only is it tasteful, there is something about the orange/black or orange/turquoise stones that set the items apart from anything I have found in the past. Autumn is just around the corner, though it is hard to believe summer is nearing an end already. I think you will find the jewelry we have on the site to be exactly what you are looking for as Halloween approaches or as something special for your favorite ghost hunter. Keep checking the site as new items will be added on an ongoing basis. I will also be using different combinations and colors, using only real stones with the beautiful orange Carnelian. One very interesting item I came across recently said that Carnelian is the birthstone for August. Digital Ghost Photography Handbook: Are you confused about orbs? What are dust orbs and how do they relate to real ghost orbs? Read our 20 page thermal bound book or download the PDF book and discover how digital photography is the wave of the future. We have been using digital since 1994 and we share with the reader, which are the best digital cameras on the market today. We also share what to look for when purchasing a digital camera and provide some protocols to avoid falling into the dust orb trap. Check it out at http://www.ghostweb.com/booklet2.html. How to Record and Analyze Ghost Voices: Traditional techniques for recording ghost voices are outdated and far less successful. Sharon and I have an accumulated 28 years of experience in ghost research and in evaluating ghost tools for field investigations. Along the way, we have discovered many hidden techniques that enable us to be tremendously successful in recording the voices of the dead. Our new book will disclose our time tested techniques in a step by step procedure that is easy to understand and to apply. Check out the book at http://www.ghostweb.com/booklet.html We ship via Priority Mail through the Post Office, not the slow boat to China known as Media Mail that takes several weeks to arrive at an address. CD Version Home Study Courses: This is the premier certification program for ghost researchers and paranormal investigators, written by professional full time ghost researchers. We teach the scientific approach specializing in ghost photography and Etheric voice phenomenon with 28 years of combined experience in this field.
