Second, we have posted more photos from the most haunted home in New Mexico. The photos are available in the Members Only section and in the Ghost Pics section at Ghostweb.com. This home is truly one of the most haunted sites we have investigated. David Brandt seems to have ghostly visitors that are happy to allow him to photograph them. Too bad more ghosts are not more camera-friendly. It is so important to have a positive attitude when conducting field investigations, as any negativity, no matter how small, may influence the outcome of said investigation. This is one reason we do not endorse taking skeptics along on investigations. Their skeptical attitude is another way of saying negative attitude. The investigation should not be a circus to entertain and delight the unbelievers. Everyone is skeptical until they have had a personal experience with the paranormal, but this is not in the same category as those who have a closed mind and want someone to prove to them that ghosts are real. A closed mind is not receptive to new information, their minds are set in cement, and nothing is going to change that mind set outside of an attitude change. It is okay for new folks to be skeptical, but open to the possibility that ghosts might exist. Their open mind is willing to accept new information that might influence their thinking. This is not the same as someone whose religion is skepticism, because a ghost could appear to them and they would explain it away as coming from smoke and mirrors. These are the so called ghost debunkers we see on television segments on the paranormal, that attempt to rationalize supernatural events. It seems Hollywood has to present the skeptical side to any segment they air, and their experts leave much to be desired. Most debunkers seem to lack common sense and suggest such outlandish explanations that they might only work in theory, but never in practice. In our world, ghosts are real and they are everywhere. The thin line separating the spirit dimension and our dimensions become thinner during peak geomagnetic field conditions, such as during solar storms or during the new and full moon phase. We have documented for over a decade that these increased geomagnetic field conditions correlate to increased ghost activities. One of our major contributions to the ghost hunting community has been our discovery of this correlation between lunar phase and solar storms and the increased reports of ghost activity. We have discussed in past issues of this Newsletter that cheap EMF meters are useless, the information they can provide the researcher is limited and misleading at best. Yes, many web sites offer inexpensive EMF meters for sale to the beginners starting out in this field. Unfortunately, the effective value of low-priced EMF meters is very limited. Most of these units have LED lights that represent readings from 1 to 10 mG, with normal background in the 0.1 to 1.0 mG range. Artificial sources of EMF that provide false readings are found in lamps, wiring, junction boxes, stoves, fish tanks, TV sets, computer monitors, washers or dryers and anything else that has a current running through it. It can even come from power lines outside the home. When the cheap EMF meter tops out at 10, the researcher has no way of knowing if the EMF fields are 11 or 200 strong. We have tested these cheap EMF meters and have found that they provide us with so many false readings that they were of no value to us or to other researchers. The range of readings must cover at least from 1 to 99 mG so that artificial sources can be identified. A cheap digital recorder is far superior to a cheap EMF meter, as even the less expensive digital recorders will still record ghost voices as well as the expensive digital recorders. One of our recent graduates of the IGHS Certified Ghost Researcher course wrote and shared his feelings about cheap EMF meters. He said, “EMF readings are everywhere too. In my own bedroom, there are seven different things that will light-up a cheap meter. It was hard, after waiting 12 weeks from the GhostHunter Store, to admit that this thing is junk! I would have to tell anyone who wants to be a good researcher that for a real set of equipment you are going to spend at least 300-500 dollars and most of the stuff you will find has an un-paranormal reason for showing up.” A ghost researcher is more then just someone using a cheap EMF meter, a digital camera and has a web site posted with orb photos. In our opinion, a ghost research is someone who wants to investigate ghosts to learn about the conditions existing beyond the grave. The idea of a Heaven and Hell must be relegated to the back burner, as ghosts do not behave, as western religion would teach. The study of ghosts opens new vistas and horizons hidden from the public. Hollywood portrays ghosts as either demonic or as fragmented souls, but this concept stems from overactive imaginations and scriptwriters creating a villain. We can gain great insights into these phantoms of the night, or as video portrays the walking dead. Since we will all one day pass over to the other side, we have an innate curiosity about the other side of the grave. We love recording the voices of the dead as we can learn so much about them. Ghost voices are not monotonous, but their voices clearly correspond to their emotions. When we apply Reverse Speech, see www.reversespeech.com, we can gain additional insights into the meaning of the forward speech. As scientific researchers, we seek to document our findings so we can go back and study the recordings at later dates. We have so many IGHS members who follow our standards and protocols when conducting investigations, their results are not flawed by dust orbs or rain drops. These researchers have a deep desire to know for themselves that there is life beyond the grave. They are conscientious and dedicated to their field of research. We applaud them for their approach to this field of study. Many of our readers are still trying to obtain their first valid ghost photo, which we in no way wish to discourage them in their task. It is not as simple as some ghost web sites might suggest. When we eliminate the natural dust orbs and moisture droplets, ghost entities may simply not be present. If you take a digital photo in your backyard and see orbs, ask yourself this question. “ Why a ghost would want to haunt your backyard?” If you were a ghost would you spend time haunting the backyard? I think not. When we talk of hauntings, we may also be talking about dimensional displacement, a parallel dimension merging into our dimension for a brief period of time. Perhaps not all human shaped ghosts are ghosts, but rather the ghostly scene might be a merging of two dimensions. Consider for a moment that if our physical dimension has a spirit dimension associated with it then a parallel dimension might have its associated spirit dimension also merging with our dimension. For the serious researcher, the more you investigate, the more questions arise as this field of inquiry is still in its infancy. Paranormal research is more than cameras and equipment, it has more depth than people realize. We document sites of alleged hauntings to form patterns that we can evaluate and discern to have a deeper understanding of the next plane of existence. Jim Fox of Johnstown, PA sent us a URL to a site with a fantastic video of a ghost boy walking across the hallway. In this case, the boy died in the bath tub when his mother accidentally knocked a hair dryer into the water. His father said his son has been visiting them for the last eight years. He set up a video camera in the hallway and recorded his ghost son. Check it out at http://www.mysonpeter.com/ and see for yourself. This is one of the best videos we have viewed in a long time. We just completed an interview with a journalist whose article will appear in USA Weekend in October. The Halloween season is soon upon us. We have noticed that the local stores are decorating with ghosts, bats, witches and pumpkins and the crafts stores have their Halloween supplies on display. Our next book will be out for Halloween and will entail our ghostly experiences at haunted sites we have investigated in our travels across this great nation. We have had many readers write to Sharon thanking her for the sterling silver ghost jewelry (www.ghostweb.com/carn2.html.) One of the most common comments they all make is that they wear their ghost charm necklace during their investigations. Sharon offers two kinds of silver jewelry for Halloween, the first is Touch of the Southwest with beautiful carnelian and turquoises stones, and second, the Touch of Halloween with its silver ghost charm, carnelian, and hematite that reflect the colors associated with Halloween. Happy trails. Sharon’s Notes: Our journey to Oregon was certainly one filled with interesting events. The important thing is that we arrived safely and in one piece. To see Dave’s Mother eliminated many unanswered questions and concerns. We have seen improvement in her condition since we arrived. She is starting to eat now and we have seen some pretty rosy cheeks lately too. We again, thank all of you who have held Dave’s Mother in prayer, white healing light, and positive energy. It is such a relief to be in Oregon, near Dave’s Mother, during this time and to see her progressing so well. As we settled down in the RV Park, several incidents took place, which give us more tidbits for travel. I will share one of those events this week. As experienced full-timers, we still suffer the effects of our own actions. Obviously, Boo's water bowl has not been violated for quite some time. I have actually missed that subtle splash as Dave’s foot found its way into the water. We have discovered that when tired, even reading a simple label on a can in the cabinet can be problematic. A few days ago, Dave and I were settling down the evening having spent the afternoon visiting his Mother. I must admit the weather has been very warm in Oregon and travel to the hospital takes almost an hour. The heat, heavy traffic, and lengthy drive are a bit more than we are used to so by days end, we are eager to relax. Supper was a puzzle this one particular evening, so we decided we would keep it simple and have some chicken soup and a sandwich. While heating the Cream of Chicken soup, Dave asked me if I would grab the can of chicken meat in the cabinet. I opened the cabinet and in the far recesses of the back corner, my fingers felt two flat cans. I checked to make certain I had the Chicken and sure enough, saw the word Chicken right there on the label. I took the can down, laying it on the counter so Dave could add it to the creamy soup. It makes a fast, hearty meal for us. I went back to what I was doing and didn't give it another thought. Within a few minutes, Dave opened the can of Chicken and added it to the soup. A few minutes later, he was dipping up two steamy hot mugs of soup for us and boy were we hungry. From past experience, I know it takes a few minutes for our food to cool down. The soup was very hot so I set the mug down on the counter to cool a bit. Within a couple of minutes Dave was eating. A few minutes later, he asked me what I thought of the soup. I had not tasted it yet. Dave got right to the point, not being one to hedge or mince words. He asked me if I had gotten chicken down from the cabinet. Of course, I even checked the label before I took it down. I thought it was strange that he asked about it though. Both cans were the same size, same color (in the dark), and said Chicken on the label. Somehow, Dave’s face did not beam with pleasure over the hearty chicken soup that we had enjoyed so many times before. The only way to settle the question of what meat was now in the soup was to check the can. Dave got up and went over to the trash can to look for the large, flat can. He pulled the can out and a sinister look came over his face. He walked over to me and said that yes, it did say Chicken. Looking just a little bit closer, the label read, Chicken of the Sea. We had added tuna fish to the wonderful hot Cream of Chicken soup. I do not recommend you try this at home. We would like to take a moment to acknowledge the people in Florida who are in the process of cleaning up after the devastating hurricane. We have many friends and members in Florida and the Deep South and hope they escaped injury and serious property damage. We recently learned that Orlando was hit very hard and the damage is substantial there. We certainly keep you all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of rebuilding and recovering. I want to thank all of those who have ordered from the Magic Moments by Shari jewelry page. The feedback has been great and I certainly thank everyone for his or her orders and comments. Many who ordered the ghost necklaces say they always wear them when going out on investigations. The ghost jewelry that we offer is unique and is only available on the Ghostweb. The Carnelian/Turquoise and Carnelian/Hematite jewelry has also done well, each with a wire wrapped baroque Carnelian stone. We recently added earrings made with Carnelian/Turquoise and Carnelian Hematite stone, which will go with any of the necklaces displayed on the site. They are displayed for pierced ears but can easily be converted to clip-on earrings, upon request. Summer is nearing an end and I am already starting to see the leaves changing here in Oregon. Halloween is just around the corner and if you are looking for a very unique gift for yourself or for that special someone who happens to love Halloween, so check out our Magic Moments by Shari section on the Ghostweb. Have a great week ya’ll! Ghost Charm Jewelry: Sharon has created two different kinds of sterling silver ghost charm necklaces, with either carnelian and turquoise or carnelian and hematine. The sterling silver ghost charm measures about an inch in length. She created some beautiful jewelry by wire wrapping stunning carnelian nuggets that we found in the desert near Deming, New Mexico. The carnelian nuggets were tumbled for five weeks to bring out their natural beauty. She also has earrings with carnelian and combinations of either turquoise or hematine.
